Foreign Press Accreditation Procedures for the Coverage of Algeria's 2026 Legislative Elections

In anticipation of the election of members of the National People's Assembly, scheduled to take place on 2 July 2026, and in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 21-01 of 10 March 2021 relating to the electoral system, as well as Executive Decree No. 14-152 of 30 April 2014 establishing the procedures for accrediting journalists working for foreign media outlets, the Embassy of Algeria in London informs journalists representing media organizations headquartered in the United Kingdom who wish to cover this electoral event that applications for accreditation may be submitted to the Embassy's Visa Section no later than 20 June 2026.

Applications for accreditation must be accompanied by the following documents:

  1. A request issued by the journalist's media organization ;
  2. A duly completed information form, which can be downloaded by clicking here ;
  3. A duly completed press visa application form, available for download on the Embassy's website;
  4. A copy of the journalist's valid press card ;
  5. Two recent passport-sized photographs ;
  6. A copy of the journalist's passport ;
  7. A detailed list of technical and audiovisual equipment to be brought into Algeria for professional use ;
