HE The Ambassador of Algeria to the United Kingdom, Mr. Nourredine YAZID, received on June 9th, 2026, at the Embassy, the Algerian startups delegation participating in London Tech Week 2026.
On this occasion, the Ambassador held a meeting with Mr. Ilias ABDOUN, the Director General of the Public Accelerator for Startups Algeria Venture, and the whole delegation, which included a group of prominent Algerian figures in the fields of artificial intelligence and representatives of leading startups in robotics and cybersecurity. The discussions explored mechanisms of driving startups into global markets as well as prospects for building international partnerships in these fields.
In this context, the Ambassador praised this participation as a first step and a tradition of regular attendance at this event, affirming Algeria’s position as an active partner in the global digital sphere.
The Embassy also organized another meeting with HM Trade Commissioner for Africa, M. Ben AINSLEY, and the Director General of Algeria Venture, with representatives of the British Embassy in Algeria and the Algerian Embassy in London. Discussions focused on strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the technology and digital investment sectors.
