H.E the Ambassador of Algeria in London receives the award winning team in the "Formula Student UK 2026"
The Ambassador of Algeria to the United Kingdom, His Excellency Mr. Nourredine Yazid, received at the Embassy today, Thursday 23rd July 2026, the award winning members of the "ENP Racing Team", a student team from the National Polytechnic School (ENP) in El Harrach, Algeria, following their outstanding and commendable participation at the "Formula Student UK 2026" competition.
In its debut at this prestigious scientific event, the Algerian team won the Allan Staniforth Best Newcomer Award, a distinction presented to the best first-time participating team reflecting their ability to compete in a high-level international environment.
The Ambassador praised the team's achievement as a source of national pride, highlighting the strength of Algeria's young talent and its capacity to innovate, excel, and compete in high-value scientific and technological fields on the international stage.
The Ambassador also commended members of the team for their technical proficiency, dedication and collaborative spirit, describing their success as a significant accomplishment that enhances Algeria's standing on the world stage in the academic and scientific arena, while showcasing the strength and potential of its universities and institutions.
Concluding the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the team on this remarkable achievement, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence and innovation while strengthening Algeria's presence in various international scientific and technological forums with the view to reflect the bright image of Algerian youth and their capabilities.
The Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom hosted this competition, (considered as one of the most prestigious and significant international events in university-level engineering and race car design), from 15 to 19 July 2026, featuring teams representing elite universities and academic institutions from around the globe.
